Who are we?

What personal data do we collect?

As a Norwegian law firm, we are required to know who we are working for. We collect information necessary to comply with this obligation. Such information will normally comprise the name, national identity or social security number, organisation number, address, (beneficial) ownership of a company, information from publicly available registers (e.g. the Register of Business Enterprises), other publicly available information and information we receive or collect to carry out our assignment in a specific case. We may collect the following information when you visit our website or contact us, or we otherwise are in contact as part of the performance of our business:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Company name
  • Information you provide in the contact form or email
  • IP address and information about the use of the website (via cookies)
  • Information you have published publicly, e.g. on a website

How do we use the information?

We only use the personal data for the following purposes:

  • Carry out assignments we have agreed to carry out
  • Respond to inquiries and make offers for our services
  • Communication in connection with agreements entered into
  • Improve our website and services
  • Comply with legal obligations

We use cookies to analyse traffic and improve the user experience. You can disable cookies in your browser at any time.

Storing and sharing data

As a Norwegian law firm, we have a strict statutory duty not to disclose any information we receive or otherwise become aware of in the performance of our activity as lawyers. We store data for as long as it is necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, or for as long as we are required by law to keep it. We do not share your data with third parties unless it is necessary to provide our services (such as hosting providers) or we are required to do so by law. As a law firm subject to Norwegian law, we have a statutory obligation to store case documents for 10 years after assignment completion.

Your rights

You have the right to:

  • To gain access to what personal data we hold about you
  • To request correction or deletion of information
  • Object to or restrict the processing of information
  • Complaining to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority
